Who we are
Headliner is a keynote-speaker bureau operating under a booking-agent model. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the public Headliner website only. Headliner is currently operated on a sole-operator basis under the trade name Headliner; references to “we”, “us”, or “our” mean the operator of this site, who is responsible for your information under this policy. You can reach us through the request page.
Information we collect
We collect the information you choose to give us when you submit an availability or booking request, or otherwise contact us. We also collect a limited amount of technical information automatically to keep the site secure and working.
- Details you submit: your name, work email, organisation, phone (if provided), and the event details you share (such as date, event type, and budget range).
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) used for security and diagnostics.
- Analytics data (only with your consent): if you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Consent Mode so it stays off until you opt in, to collect aggregated usage information such as pages viewed and general location, to improve the site. We also record, in your browser, how you first arrived at the site (in first-party cookies and browser storage) so we can understand which channels work; this is held in aggregate and contains no personal details.
How we use your information
We use the details you provide to respond to your request, prepare a best-fit speaker shortlist, arrange and manage a booking, and keep you informed about your enquiry. To do this, your enquiry is sent to our team by email and stored in our customer records so we can follow up.
Our lawful bases for processing are: your consent (for analytics cookies), the steps needed to respond to your enquiry and to enter into or perform a booking, and our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving the site.
How we share it
To arrange a booking, we may share the relevant details of your request with the speaker you are interested in or their representative. We also use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under contract, such as our website hosting and our email delivery provider, which sends our team the notification and sends you a confirmation of your enquiry. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Data retention
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records and legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form only. You can ask us to delete your information at any time through the request page.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Residents of the EEA and UK (GDPR) and of California and other US states (including CCPA/CPRA) have these rights, and we honour verified requests from everyone.
California residents: we do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that basis. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to keep analytics off. You can exercise your rights, including the right to know, delete, or correct, without being treated differently for doing so.
- To exercise any right, contact us through the request page and tell us what you would like.
- We will verify your request and respond within the time the law allows.
- We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to run the site, and we ask for your consent before setting analytics cookies. Analytics stays off until you choose Accept, and you can change your choice at any time. See our Cookies page for the full list and how to control them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be made prominent on this page.
