- Outcome
The Top Risks of the Year
Built on Eurasia Group's flagship annual Top Risks report, which Ian co-authors: the geopolitical risks most likely to shape the world this year — and precisely what they mean for executives, investors, and boards. Always current to the year of your event.
Navigating a G-Zero World — Managing Risk When No One's in Charge
His signature framework: a world with no single leader or coalition setting the global agenda. How leaders manage risk, allocate capital, and set strategy amid fragmented power, shifting alliances, and rising volatility.
The Geopolitics of Artificial Intelligence
How AI is reshaping geopolitics — and how geopolitics is reshaping AI. "Technopolarity," the new power of technology companies, and what regulation, competition, and national strategy mean for your business. Informed by his role on the UN's high-level AI advisory body.
The Power of Crisis — Turning Global Threats into Strategy
From his bestselling book: why the biggest global threats — from pandemics to climate to disruptive technology — can also force cooperation and create opportunity, and how leaders can plan for both.
The story
Who Ian actually is
Ian Bremmer was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, in 1969 and grew up near Boston. He earned a bachelor's in international relations from Tulane University and a master's and doctorate in political science from Stanford University, completing his Ph.D. in 1994.
In 1998 he founded Eurasia Group, a political-risk research and consulting firm now spanning offices from New York and London to Tokyo, São Paulo, Singapore, and Mexico City — credited with creating Wall Street's first global political-risk index. In 2017 he launched GZERO Media, a digital company covering global affairs, and hosts _GZERO World with Ian Bremmer_ on US public television. He is a foreign-affairs columnist and editor-at-large for TIME, teaches Applied Geopolitics at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, and served as rapporteur for the United Nations' high-level advisory body on artificial intelligence.
Bremmer is best known for coining "G-Zero" — his term for a world in which no single country or bloc drives the global agenda — a concept now widely used by policymakers and business leaders. He co-authors Eurasia Group's closely watched annual Top Risks report, and he has written eleven books, including the New York Times bestsellers _Us vs. Them: The Failure of Globalism_ (2018) and _The Power of Crisis_ (2022), along with _Every Nation for Itself_ (2012), _Superpower_ (2015), _The End of the Free Market_ (2010), and _The J Curve_ (2006). Today he is one of the most in-demand geopolitical voices in the world, delivering that analysis to boards, investors, and audiences everywhere.
