Signature keynotes
What your audience walks away with
- Outcome
Everything Rises and Falls on Leadership (signature keynote)
His foundational message. Maxwell makes the case that leadership ability is the "lid" on the potential of every person and organization — raise the lid, and everything below it rises with it. It reframes leadership from a title into a learnable capacity, and sends a room away believing, and knowing how, to lead better.
The 5 Levels of Leadership
Maxwell's practical map of how real influence is built: from Position (people follow because they have to) up through Permission, Production, People Development, and Pinnacle (people follow because of who you are and what you represent). Leaders leave able to name where they stand and what the next level requires.
Developing the Leader Within You
Drawn from the book that started it all: the disciplines, priorities, and character that turn a capable person into a genuine leader. Practical, personal, and built to be applied immediately.
The Laws of Growth & Intentional Living
Why "growth is the great separator between those who succeed and those who do not," and how to move from accidental to intentional growth — designing a life and career of deliberate personal development.
High Road Leadership (from his 2024 book)
His answer to a divided world: leaders who take the high road value all people, do the right things for the right reasons, take accountability, and put people above their own agenda — and in doing so bring people together.
Adding Value to People & Building Team Culture
How leaders multiply their impact by developing others, and how a culture where people grow becomes an organization's most durable advantage.
The story
Who John actually is
John C. Maxwell is a #1 New York Times best-selling author, speaker, coach, and leadership mentor widely recognized as the world's most influential leadership expert. Over more than forty years he has written over one hundred books, sold more than thirty million copies in fifty languages, and built organizations that have trained leaders in every nation on earth. In 2014 the American Management Association named him the number-one leader in business, and Business Insider and Inc. magazine called him the world's most influential leadership expert.
Born in Garden City, Michigan, in 1947, Maxwell began his career as an ordained minister and served as the senior pastor of Skyline Church for fourteen years before leaving the pulpit to teach leadership full-time. He went on to found EQUIP, a nonprofit that has trained millions of leaders internationally, and the organizations now unified as Maxwell Leadership, along with the charitable Maxwell Leadership Foundation. Today more than forty thousand Maxwell Leadership Certified Team Members carry his methods around the world.
His books include the landmark Developing the Leader Within You (1993), The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership (1998), The 5 Levels of Leadership, The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth, and, most recently, High Road Leadership: Bringing People Together in a World That Divides (2024). Among many honors, he received the 2019 Horatio Alger Award and the Mother Teresa Prize for Global Peace and Leadership.
What makes Maxwell singular on stage is the combination of authority and warmth: he has taught leadership longer, and to more people, than almost anyone alive, yet he delivers it as a mentor rather than a lecturer — leaving every audience both inspired and equipped to lead and grow.
