Peter Zeihan

Peter Zeihan was born in 1973 and raised in Marshalltown, Iowa. He studied political science at Truman State University and completed a postgraduate diploma in Asian studies at the University of Otago in New Zealand, then began his career with the U.S. State Department in Australia.

For roughly twelve years he worked at Stratfor, the private geopolitical-intelligence firm, rising to vice president and helping build the analytical models that made its reputation. In 2012 he founded Zeihan on Geopolitics, his own firm, to deliver custom analysis and executive briefings.
