Signature keynotes
What your audience walks away with
- Outcome
From OR to AND: Unlocking Enduring Innovation
His signature talk, drawn from the mindset that built KIND. Most companies let circumstances force them to choose between two seemingly incompatible options. Lubetzky teaches the "Builder's Mindset" that rejects those false choices and builds the more valuable answer that lives in the "AND," healthy and tasty, profit and purpose, convenient and wholesome. A practical, example-rich methodology for leaders who want innovation that endures rather than a one-time win.
Why the World Needs More Builders, and Less "Us vs. Them"
His TED-stage keynote on the defining problem of the moment. The real enemy, he argues, is not a person or a group but a mindset: a polarized, either/or way of seeing the world. Lubetzky makes the case for becoming a "builder," someone who finds and builds on common ground, and gives leaders and teams a way to turn division inside their organizations, industries, and communities into shared problem-solving.
Building a Purpose-Driven Brand: The KIND Story
The founder's playbook, told by the founder. How a transparent, values-led brand grew from a basement idea into a multibillion-dollar company, why purpose and profit reinforce each other rather than compete, and the hard truth behind his line that "the mission does not sell the product; the product sells the product." For marketing, brand, and leadership audiences deciding how to make purpose real instead of performative.
Resilience and Mission-Driven Leadership
The story beneath the success: a Mexican-American immigrant and the son of a Holocaust survivor who turned his family's history of survival and kindness into a mission. Lubetzky distills the "superpowers" he credits for building through adversity (grit, fearlessness, creativity, and the capacity to love and forgive) into a keynote that leaves an audience both moved and equipped.
Inside the Tank: Spotting and Building Great Businesses
The Shark's-eye view. As the first new full-time Shark on Shark Tank in more than a decade, Lubetzky shares what actually makes a founder and a business worth backing, how he evaluates ideas and people, and the discipline of building enduring value rather than chasing a quick exit. Ideal for entrepreneurship summits, investor audiences, and startup ecosystems.
The story
Who Daniel actually is
Daniel Lubetzky is a social entrepreneur, investor, and civic leader, the founder of KIND Snacks, a full-time Shark on ABC's Shark Tank, and the founder of the Builders Movement. Born in Mexico City in 1968 and raised as the son of a Holocaust survivor, he immigrated to the United States as a teenager and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in economics and international relations from Trinity University in San Antonio and a law degree from Stanford Law School.
His first venture, PeaceWorks, launched in 1994, sold products made through cooperation among people in regions of conflict, an early expression of the belief that business could bring people together. In 2004 he founded KIND Snacks from his basement, built on his "AND" philosophy: the conviction that a snack could be healthy and tasty, convenient and wholesome, and that a company could pursue profit and purpose at once. KIND grew into a multibillion-dollar brand known for whole ingredients and transparency, and in 2020 Mars acquired KIND North America in a deal that made Lubetzky a billionaire while he retained a stake.
Beyond KIND, Lubetzky founded the values-led investment platform Camino Partners, co-founded the luxury-artisan venture Maiyet, and in 2015 was named a Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship by President Barack Obama. In 2024 he joined Shark Tank as a full-time Shark for Season 16, the show's first new regular Shark in over a decade and its first full-time Latino Shark, after five seasons as one of its most popular guest investors.
His civic work is inseparable from his business. He co-founded the OneVoice Movement, one of the largest grassroots efforts of Israelis and Palestinians working toward peaceful coexistence, and today leads the Builders Movement, a nonprofit that equips people to reject "us vs. them" thinking and find common ground. He is the author of the New York Times bestseller Do the KIND Thing, and the recipient of honors including the Hispanic Heritage Award for Entrepreneurship, the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award, and the Carnegie Corporation's Great Immigrants Award. In 2025 TIME featured him among its Latino Leaders.

Do the KIND Thing: Think Boundlessly, Work Purposefully, Live Passionately
2015(2015): His New York Times bestseller and the definitive statement of the "AND" philosophy. Part memoir, part playbook, it lays out how he built KIND by rejecting false choices, and how any leader can build a company that pursues purpose and profit at the same time.
