Peter Diamandis

Peter H. Diamandis was born in the Bronx, New York, in 1961. He studied molecular genetics and physics at MIT, added a master's in aeronautics and astronautics, and earned an MD from Harvard Medical School, a rare combination of engineer, scientist, and physician that shapes how he reads the future of technology. In 1994 he founded the XPRIZE Foundation, which has since launched more than $600 million in incentive competitions to solve humanity's grand challenges; its Ansari XPRIZE helped catalyze the private spaceflight industry. He went on to co-found Singularity University (with Ray Kurzweil), the International Space University, and more than 25 companies across space, health-tech, longevity, and venture capital, among them Zero Gravity Corporation, Planetary Resources, Human Longevity, Celularity, Fountain Life, and BOLD Capital Partners.
